Love this girl

We're back to normal (for now!). After the ear infection and stomach virus back-to-back Lil seems to be happy and healthy. She's getting so big. She just started playing peek-a-boo! She will hold up a blanket or towel over her face for an awkwardly long time and finally drop it for like a millisecond before putting it back up. She's so funny! She took 10 steps by herself the other night! Matt and I were both watching. They were tiny steps but she was so proud of herself!

We had a great time this weekend in Sedalia, MO visiting family! Lilly got to play with her cousins. Maddie is just 28 days older that Lil so it was super fun to watch them together. They liked to hold hands! Cute!

She sat with cousin Joel and Grandpa Schilb like this for AN HOUR. It was crazy. Eventually I made her get down so she could stretch her legs!

We stopped at Bass Pro on the way back home. Loved it.

Lilly playing at Barnes while I read books on how to get your kid to sleep better at night :)
Story time with Elmo.

Life lessons:
1) Look closely before seasoning. Great Value spices are great, but they all have the same label. So instead of sprinkling cumin on my burrito the other day I accidentally spiced it up with ground cloves. It was not pleasant. But it smelled like pumpkin pie!

2) If you put your iPhone in a baggie before giving it to your baby, it protects it from drool AND you can still use the touch screen through the baggie! Brilliant!

3) It's true, you can hide veggies in other foods. Lilly hasn't been eating her carrots, green beans, or butternut squash that I made her so I tossed it into our chili the other night. You couldn't even taste it! And I think it helped make the texture thicker. That's about the only way we will ever eat squash ;)

We call her the Badge Inspector.
Hey, Cheeks! Have you seen my missing golf balls??

I have really been enjoying my Jesus devotional by Beth Moore. It's been such a great way to get to know Jesus better. Devotionals are a wonderful way to make spending time with God a priority. It's been a humbling time and I'm learning how much I need Jesus in every aspect of my life. What a cool thought also that even though I'll spend a lifetime getting to know Him there will always be more to learn and know. He is never boring!
