True love

I'll spare you the snow pictures I took last week! I've seen enough of them!! Although, I kept wanting to run outside and frolic in the fluffy stuff. I can't wait til Lilly is old enough to play outside in it!

I did get so excited that Matt was coming back from Orlando that I shoveled a small path for him with our dirt shovel. Thanks to Monica for testing it out for me!

Sunday at the IHOP.

Valentines day this year was great, the best ever. Matt brought me roses and a sweet card. Then we went out to the Crafty Cottage to paint some mugs for each other! It was great! The best part was that we were the only people there! I thought it was going to be packed but I guess everyone chose the romantic dinner option or celebrated over the weekend. The workers were so nice about having a screaming baby there!

There are so many ways we show love to each other. My favorite this Valentine's day wasn't the flowers or pottery. It was Matt helping with Lilly and going to the store at 4am to get me some Powerade and crackers because I had been sick all night. That's true love, baby.

Snooooow

I love snow days. Matt worked from home this week which was awesome. He really works when he's home, making conference calls, typing spreadsheets. It helps me appreciate what he does at work all day. He also got to see how hard I work with taking care of our girl and working around the house. It was a good week to appreciate each other.
I also learned to appreciate the mail man. After the snow ended, I was curious if the rumor is true about the legendary feats the mail service attempts to bring us our letters and bills. So I pulled on my cowboy boots, rolled up my jeans, and headed outside to see if it was true.

And behold, the mail was there! Amazing! Matt also went out to get it the next day. Neither of us have snow boots so he strapped on some Walmart bags.

We didn't work hard the whole time. We played a game and drank lots of hot tea. We played with Lilly and just enjoyed sitting around.

On Thursday we went to Lilly's 2 month check up. It went very well. She weighs 12 pounds and is 23.5 inches tall! She's a big girl! She also got her shots. I used to give babies their shots but it was still hard to see our little one so upset.

She ran a fever that night of 102 and was just pitiful but the next day she was back to normal. We made our first attempt at the bottle and it was frustrating and unsuccessful. She gagged on her paci and vomited up the entire feeding she had at 10:30pm and then was hungry again. I didn't have anything left to feed her so I woke Matt up and we tried the bottle. No luck. We tried the next day too just for practice but she still didn't take it. Oh well, we'll try again another day.

We enjoyed seeing our friends this weekend for the Super Bowl Party! Fun times and good food! It was a blast watching all the little kiddos rolling, crawling, and wobbling around. They do grow up fast!!
