6 months

Our little girl is 6 months old! What an amazing journey this has been. I'm so proud to be her mommy. She is starting to make razzing noises with her mouth. She also huffs and puffs when she get's excited. We love to sing "Twist and Shout" and dance around.
It's hard to believe how much she's changed. I remember the first three months were pretty much crazy. She cried at night for hours and was not on a schedule. Now she is so happy, takes naps, and has a predictable bedtime! Amazing! We love eating dinner now because she happily sits in her highchair and eats with us. She likes to "talk" into her cup because it echos. A few months ago we couldn't even eat without holding her because she would just scream! We've come a long way, baby!

"I'll let Lilly write Matt an email!"

Bad idea...

This face cracks me up!

We had a fun trip to the library this week. Lil thought the "Finding Nemo" fish in the fish tank were pretty funny. She enjoyed walking around looking at the books and playing on the toys.

Baby pool! We checked out the local Family Dollar and got this awesome baby pool!

The garden is going well! Despite the weeds that have covered every square inch of dirt I think it's going to be fine! I picked a squash today. We've never grown them and I don't think we've ever cooked one so I wasn't sure exactly when I was supposed to pick it. Looks good to me! I also picked a tiny strawberry. The sugar snap peas are growing, too!

Baby dedication was last Sunday. It was a special time for us to say before our family and friends that we're putting Lilly in God's hands and asking for Him to help us parent the way He desires.

We bought some organic honey roasted peanuts at Whole Foods. This week Lil and I hung out with our friend Stephanie and she turned those peanuts into peanut butter with her super duper blender! It was so cool! She also added a little vanilla for fun. I never thought I'd be able to eat homemade peanut butter!

Lil's first time hearing a guitar up close and personal. Uncle Will is a professional and gave her a little lesson. She strummed and plucked and really loved the whole thing!

6 month doctor visit. It's so great that Matt has been able to come to all of her appointments!

The shots didn't seem to bother her this time. She was her usual self afterwards!
